Annual Scottish Financial Enterprise Awards
Friday 30 October
A joint application from Citi and Morgan Stanley reached the final shortlist of three, in the The Scottish Financial Enterprise (SFE) annual awards in the innovation in investment in the community section. They based their application on their involvement with the two Career Academies running in Scotland. Morgan Stanley being Glasgow based, primarily supports Anniesland College and Citi, based in Edinburgh, supports Telford College. They co chair the Scotland Local Advisory Board and have both provided volunteers for Partners in Business, internships and visits.
Although the application did not win the Award, the fact that it was shortlisted after just 12 months of the Career Academies being up and running is a sign of recognition of the programme in Scotland and it is hoped that the profile gained from being shortlisted will help with recruitment of new supporters.
