Students at New Rickstones Academy seize a golden opportunity

On Friday 5 February Career Academy students from New Rickstones Academy in Witham visited the head office of Concession-online and met with it's managing director Steve Brooks, who is also the chair of the Career Academy Local Advisory Board.
The students then had the opportunity to learn about the organisational structure with different departments including sales and marketing, where the students gained an insight into the individual job roles.
In the latter part of the morning the students had the chance to meet Laban Roomes who appeared on BBC show Dragons Den. When he appeared he showcased his businesses Midas Touch which has now been renamed Gold Genie. He was given £60,000 pounds for a 40% share by the Dragon's when he appeared on the show. The students had the opportunity to ask him questions about developing his business and his past achievements.
