Aim Higher is a national programme which aims to widen participation in higher education by raising the aspirations and developing the abilities of young people from under-represented communities. Aim Higher funding supports the Career Academy programme in a number of schools and colleges.

The Association of School and College Leaders is the only professional association and trade union in Britain to speak exclusively for secondary school and college leaders. John Dunford, General Secretary is a member of our National Advisory Board.

Business in the Community is the largest national business-led coalition dedicated to corporate responsibility. We are currently involved in their Work Inspiration campaign, which mobilises businesses to turn work experience into work inspiration, bridging the gap between the classroom and the world of work. 30 Career Academy students attended the Big Conversation launch event in London in September 2009 and we are supporting the roll out of the campaign around the UK.

Edexcel is the UK's largest awarding body offering academic and vocational qualifications and testing to schools, colleges, employers and other places of learning in the UK and internationally. Career Academies UK has worked closely with Edexcel to develop business relevant qualifications. They are represented on our Programme Leadership Team.

The Education and Employers Taskforce aims to ensure that every school and college has an effective partnership with employers to provide its young people with the inspiration, motivation, knowledge, skills and opportunities they need to help them achieve their potential and so to secure the UK's future prosperity. Career Academies UK is represented on its advisory groups and contributed case studies to its websites: the Employers' Guide and the Teachers' Guide.

IDeA supports improvement and innovation in local government. We have worked with IDeA to develop good practice case studies for young people considering a career in local government.

Institute of Education Business Excellence (IEBE) is a professional body dedicated to promoting the highest standards in Education Business Partnership Organisations. Career Academies UK was the first national organisation to receive the IEBE's Award for Education Business Excellence. We support the IEBE's vision of ‘sustainable partnerships between education and business that genuinely improve outcomes for young learners and prepare them for adult life'.

Learning and Skills Council is the national funding body for skills in England. A number of regional LSCs have provided us with funding and internships. They are also represented on our Marketing and Communications Leadership Team.

We have worked with the National Skills Academy for Financial Services to develop Career Academies following this theme.

Regional Development Agencies have funded and supported Career Academies UK in a number of regions in England.

Specialist Schools & Academies Trust gives practical support to transforming secondary education in England by building and enabling a world-class network of innovative, high-performing secondary schools in partnership with business and the wider community. We have a memorandum of understanding with SSAT to provide mutual support where appropriate.

UK Commission for Employment and Skills (UKCES) aims to benefit employers, individuals and Government by advising how improved employment and skills systems can help the UK become a world-class leader in productivity, in employment and in having a fair and inclusive society. Career Academies UK has provided case study examples for reports and assisted in their review of skills policy and practice.
